Hey everyone, I’ve been trying to get a better handle on my emotions lately, and I read somewhere that mood tracking can really help with emotional awareness. I’ve tried journaling before, but I feel like I miss patterns in my moods over time. Has anyone here actually used mood tracking apps or methods consistently, and did it genuinely help you understand your feelings better? I’m curious about both the pros and cons, and how practical it is for everyday life.

Oh, I’ve actually been experimenting with mood tracking apps for the past six months, and honestly, it’s been surprisingly insightful. I started using one called Liven after reading a review here: liven app. What I found most helpful is how it forces you to stop and check in with yourself multiple times a day, which makes you notice even subtle shifts in your mood. I also like that it encourages reflection, not just logging feelings, so I can see patterns like certain times of day when I’m more anxious or triggers that I wouldn’t otherwise catch. One downside is that sometimes it feels repetitive, and if you’re not consistent, the data loses its value. But overall, it’s a lot easier to be aware of my emotions when I see them visually represented and can track changes over weeks instead of trying to remember everything from memory. For anyone struggling with emotional awareness, I’d say it’s worth giving it a try.
